Aurora’s Kiss

13 visual interpretations of excerpts taken from Mark Jenkin’s (unwritten) pseudo autobiographical novel AURORA’S KISS. This collection of seemingly random extracts are taken from a longer text and dispense with the need for narrative ‘beginning’ or ‘end’. Each chapter consists only of ‘middle’, where explanation of character and location are largely redundant, and the importance of mood far outweighs the need for plot.

This collection of work is a study of modern social dislocation, via an open and frank conversation between the conscious and the unconscious; a partly fabricated first person diary concerned with truth rather than fact, where the line between reality and fantasy is danced upon without apology.
